Teen receives complimentary second orthodontist opinion

Get A 2nd Opinion from a Trusted, Experienced Orthodontist

So you visited an orthodontist, but you aren’t sure if you’re comfortable starting treatment with him or her yet.

Is it possible to “try out” an orthodontist before choosing one? Can you still visit another orthodontist if you’ve already received an exam from an orthodontist?

Yes, you can – and we encourage you to do so! We offer complimentary consultations for this exact reason. You can receive a thorough orthodontic exam and a one-on-one consultation with one of our experienced orthodontists, Dr. Spillers or Dr. Gordon, so you can get a feel for our patient experience before you make your decision.

Why would I need a second opinion in orthodontics?

Getting a second opinion in your orthodontic treatment can help assure you that you’re making the best decision for you or your child! If you visit a practice and aren’t quite sure if the environment is the right fit for you, don’t hesitate to try out another practice. Especially if the first orthodontist you see says you’re not a candidate for Invisalign

Our orthodontists see many patients seeking a second opinion with their heart set on this virtually-invisible treatment. We’re proud to be able to offer clear aligner treatment for patients of all ages and cases.

You want to feel 100% confident and comfortable in your decision to sign a contract with your orthodontist and begin a life-changing journey. You’ll be spending time with your orthodontist and team regularly, so it’s important that they’re friendly, professional, personable, and knowledgeable.

Take note of how you feel in the office too! Is it a comfortable place to be? Is it clean and modern? Do they offer the type of treatment you’re looking for? Are you able to go back to the clinic area to discuss the treatment with the doctor? You and your smile deserve the absolute best care possible, so don’t be afraid to set your standard!

At Spillers Orthodontics, we provide complimentary first visits, with no cost and no obligation, because we’re confident that you’ll have an exceptional experience.

If you visited another orthodontist, and you’re interested in getting a second opinion and trying out another practice before making your decision, we encourage you to request your complimentary consultation with us.

The Doctor You Choose Matters

Your orthodontist is the one who creates your smile, not your treatment alone. The orthodontist behind your treatment plan matters.

When choosing your orthodontist, it’s important that you assess his or her qualifications.

Consider the orthodontist’s experience, certifications, and any previous training they’ve had too. How long has the orthodontist been practicing? Have they earned an orthodontic certification? Which professional memberships or affiliations are they a part of?

Dr. Spillers and Dr. Gordon are involved in the community and organized dentistry on a local, state, and national level.

As an appointee to the Georgia Board of Dentistry, Dr. Spillers is one of eleven members in the state responsible for protecting public health in the practice of dentistry by ensuring that standards are met throughout the state. He is past president of the Central District Dental Society, past president of the Georgia Association of Orthodontists, and sits on the Board of Directors for Rehoboth Dental Clinic. He also serves as an adjunct assistant professor at the University of Alabama Orthodontics Department in Birmingham teaching orthodontic students. A member of Align Tech North American Faculty, as well as Align’s Teen Global Faculty, Dr. Spillers teaches orthodontists all over the world how to treat using Invisalign.

Dr. Gordon is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. He currently serves as president of the Central District Dental Society and president-elect of the Georgia Association of Orthodontists. He is also a member of the Georgia Dental Association Board of Trustees. In these roles, Dr. Gordon works to promote the specialties of dentistry and orthodontics, dedication to quality patient care, continuing education, and political advocacy.

Both Dr. Spillers and Dr. Gordon are committed to staying active in the orthodontic community and up-to-date on their treatments and techniques to provide the best possible care for you.

When you choose us, you can rest assured that you’re in the best hands. We guarantee that great smiles begin with our orthodontists.

You can hear directly from our patients too! See what they have to say about our doctors and the patient experience at Spillers Orthodontics.
